Colombian librarian, engineer and digital innovator with over two decades leading digital transformation processes in libraries and cultural institutions across Latin America, Africa, Asia and Europe. Founder of MedeJean: Cultural Intelligence and co-founder of IAparaBibliotecas.com, where he has designed over 70 AI service prototypes —from advanced user analytics to citizen labs— and has supported public, academic and community library networks on four continents.
His work integrates critical AI literacy, design thinking and knowledge management, with the goal of enabling Global South libraries to use technology in an ethical, explainable and inclusive way. He has collaborated with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (Beyond Access program), CERLALC-UNESCO, IFLA and multiple national library networks.
International speaker and author of publications on digital culture, cultural marketing for libraries and artificial intelligence applied to the cultural sector. He is a columnist for specialized media such as Razón Pública and Impacto TIC, and has been invited as a speaker at forums of UNAM, UNLP and the University of Salamanca, among others.
