Our History

Marcela Cejas
Marcela Cejas

eLibro began to take shape between 1995 and 1996, when the Internet as we know it today did not yet exist. Between 1996 and 1997, the domain e-Libro.net was registered for the first time and later, in 1998, the company eLibro Corporation was founded. In 1999, an alliance with Ebrary.com was formed and in 2002 the first sale in Mexico took place.

Lic. Eduardo Varela-Cid was the founder of eLibro, and Marcela Cejas the co-founder, with www.e-libro.net being the first product created while using the eLibro/Ebrary platform.
